There is no ATM on the premises. We recommend guests bringing cash if you have a cash bar for your event.
Sweeney Barn is fully accessible to guests of differing abilities. Concrete ramps and an elevator provide easy access to the indoor areas. Please note that the garden location is a grass-lawned area.
How do I see if my date is available?

Can I choose my own caterer?
Yes. We have an approved list of trusted caterers with a variety of cuisine and pricing for you to choose from. If you choose to bring in your own caterer, we require a $750 fee, as well as a certificate of insurance, references and a preliminary meeting to give approval.
How many guests can we have?
We can seat up to 200 guests with a dance floor. We have an open floor plan, so structuring the seating is something that can be coordinated with our staff.
Can we bring our own wine, beer, or liquor?
Yes! This can be handled by your catering company. If you would like to bring your own alcoholic beverages, we can show you how to obtain a banquet license for your event.
Do you require a wedding coordinator?
Yes. Weddings must have a licensed day-of coordinator or wedding planner to ensure the event runs smoothly. Our team will always have a representative on-site to assist, but will not coordinate vendor arrival or decor installation. We encourage you to visit our partners page of experienced professionals who will ensure your wedding is worry-free.
Do you allow materials that scatter during the ceremony?
We allow bubbles, sparklers (outside building) and glow sticks, but not confetti or birdseed.
Why is Sweeney Barn different from other wedding venues?
Our barn venue has the ability to have indoor and outdoor ceremonies so you no longer have to worry about inclement weather affecting your event. Sweeney Barn is a fully climate-controlled barn, and we are able to cater barn events throughout the year. We treat our clients like family, and will work hard to ensure your event is perfect in every way. Sweeney Barn is a versatile space that can be tailored to any event.
Will there be other events going on at the barn during my event?
You have exclusive use of the property, and there will be no other events going on at the same time.
Are there hotels nearby?
Yes. We have a list of recommended hotels, and we can also share the ones that have current group rate special offers.
Can we bring candles?
No live flame candles are allowed in Sweeney Barn. We suggest that guests use battery-operated candles and lanterns at their event.
Can I provide a review?
How do I reserve Sweeney Barn?
our date is locked in when we have received your signed contract, a 50% deposit and $1,000 security deposit. The final 50% will be due 30 days before your wedding. CONTACT US
Can I play a wedding slideshow?
Yes – Sweeney Barn provides a projector and 120″ screen that can be placed almost anywhere inside the venue.
Must I use recommended vendors?
We have a list of recommended vendors for our event space. We have worked hard to establish relationships with these partners, ensuring that they have a good knowledge of the space and can provide excellent service. You are welcome to choose a vendor outside our list as long as they are professionally licensed and insured. We are more particular about caterers – there is a $750 fee and an in-person approval process to use a different caterer.
How long do I have access to the site?
When you book Sweeney Barn, you have exclusive access to the site for a total of 10 hours. The first three hours are for vendor set-up. The next six hours are for guests to be on property. The final hour is allocated for load-out and cleaning. Guests must depart the property no later than 11 pm. For additional time, please consult with the General Manager.
Can we hang decorations from the ceiling?
You may hire a licensed and insured decorator to hang items from the ceiling. Please consult with our General Manager on details.
Can my pet be a part of the wedding day?
Please discuss with the General Manager. Pets are usually allowed for the ceremony only, and must be crated for the cocktail hour and reception. Keep in mind that weddings are often overwhelming events for animals, and Sweeney Barn is not liable for the behavior of your pet.
What happens if the weather is bad for my outside wedding?
Don’t worry. We can easily arrange to have the wedding ceremony indoors if the weather does not cooperate.
Does Sweeney Barn provide aisle runners for the ceremony?
We have a red aisle runner 50 ft. long and 3 ft. wide
Do you provide catering?
We do not provide catering and allow the couples the freedom to hire a caterer of their choice. We do offer a list of our favorite caterers as a courtesy to our clients, but you are not required to hire a caterer from that list. We simply ask that if your choice is not on our list that we get a chance to approve your caterer choice. Please keep in mind we do have a “warming kitchen” for your caterer to use which will include fridges, microwaves and prep areas. Most caterers cook and prepare the food offsite. We have set up dedicated caterer truck parking in the parking area.

Are there restrooms on the property?
Yes – There are ADA accessible toilets on the ground floor of the property with 5 toilets in each of the men’s and women’s bathrooms (10 total).
What are the guidelines for cleanup?
Clients and / or their caterers are responsible for clearing and undressing all tables. This includes collecting and bagging all trash and service items such as cups, bottles, napkins, etc. All the items brought in by the client, including service items and decorations must be either bagged for disposal or loaded and removed at the conclusion of the event.
Is the venue air-conditioned and heated?
Yes. We have installed a state of the art air-conditioning system in all areas of the barn. That means you can have your romantic wedding at any time of the year.
Are tables and chairs included in your pricing?
We have 150 white folding resin chairs and 20 wine barrels you can use as cocktail tables. We do not have banquet tables or linens for guest seating. Those equipment rentals can be coordinated through your caterer.
Is there a space for the bride to take a little break?
Yes – On the upper level we have a small room with a chaise lounge sofa where the bride can take a little break during the festivities. In addition, the waiting area outside of this room can also be set up for larger bridal groups if needed.
Can I have my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the Barn? I would love to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception.
Yes yes and yes! Sweeney Barn is on 5 acres, and you can have your ceremony in the outdoor garden area with a beautiful backdrop on the barn. You can use the lower area as a cocktail space or dancing area, or you can use the Grand Ballroom upstairs for your reception. At Sweeney Barn we can also discuss tailoring the spaces to whatever you think is best.
